Michael Barshinger

Mike has over 50 years experience in both the construction and remodeling industry. As co-owner, he lends his extensive knowledge of the business and a commitment to providing the best products and service to our clients. Customer vision becomes a reality as Mike provides an inventory of current industry products and styles to choose from.

Mike retired in 2025 from his new construction career and continues to provide valuable insight on remodeling.  He stays active everyday with vehicle maintenance, upkeep at the showroom & shops, and checking in on customer projects.  After 50 years of working just about 7 days a week, he’s likely to find an unfinished project or equipment repairs that need attending to.

Semi-retirement has allowed Mike to take more time to relax at the beach, travel with friends, and hunting.  He has also retired from being a sprint car owner in 2021 and continues to watch nightly wherever there’s a race.

Jason Barshinger

Jason’s love for this industry came from watching and working with his dad over the years. After graduating from West Chester University with a B.S. in Business Management, he knew he wanted to help elevate his father’s businesses to new heights.

As co-owner of embee & son, inc., Jason has achieved this goal and then some. With 25+ years experience, Jason’s favorite part of his job is working with the people. He takes the time to personally listen to their needs, help interpret those needs into a design and then he sees it through to completion. Jason adds the personal touch that most other businesses of this kind overlook.

Jason has been active with the York County community volunteering with the York Builders Association since the early 2010’s holding various roles with committees and the Board of Directors.  Jason was the president of the YBA in 2018.  He is also active in charities, churches, and schools to help promote a better York County.

Jason loves spending time with his family. His wife Whitney, daughter Grayson and son Maxwell tend to keep him on his toes. In his spare time, you may find Jason hanging with his dogs Mission & Phineas, sipping on a craft brew IPA, eating good food.

Vicki-Marie Collazo

We welcomed Vicki to the embee family on January 31, 2011.

Vicki brings an education from Bradley Academy of the Visual Arts, over 40+ years of experience and extensive knowledge in Kitchen Design and Color Consultation to our team. To say Vicki has an “eye” for design is putting it mildly! Vicki has many talents, one being able to listen to and understand the style you are envisioning and bring it to life in front of you!

Vicki has demonstrated her wide scope of this industry while participating in events such as: The York County Decorator Showhouse, York County Parade of Homes, York Builders Association Home and Garden Show, and she has produced several seminars through local school districts on kitchen design, color theory, faux finishing and home decorating!

One of Vicki’s favorite work memories is helping a client plot, design and plan their home from the very conception all the way through to selecting their finishes and furnishings! She is one talented designer!

Vicki has been married to her husband Randy for 6 years. She has two amazing sons who provided her with endless smiles and memories. Now she gets to make new memories with her twin granddaughters. When Vicki has a rare moment off work she enjoys refinishing furniture, horseback riding and road trips on their motorcycle.

Beverly Ann Gentzler

Beverly joined the embee & son team in July of 2017 as a Kitchen & Bath Design Specialist.  She brought with her 23 years of experience in the Kitchen & Bath industry.

A graduate of York College of PA, she specializes in Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling.  She enjoys working with her clients and creating working relationships that continue through the years.  Listening to her clients wishes and creating spaces that turn those wishes into reality is her ultimate goal.

Beverly also represents embee as a York County Builder’s Association member.  She currently serves on the Membership Engagement Committee and volunteers at several of the Associations annual events.  It has been rewarding for her to meet and get to know others in the YCBA community.  She has participated in several events herself during her time in the industry, including the YCBA Remodeler’s Council Awards of Excellence, York County Parade of Homes and YCBA Home and Garden Show.

Bev has been married to her husband, Chad, since 1991.  They share many interests including traveling, cooking, gardening and trying out new dining experiences throughout the Susquehanna Valley.  She and her husband are also dedicated sports enthusiasts.  Bev loves the outdoors and is an avid walker, especially when her fur baby joins her- it’s how she starts and ends her day!

Chris Conley

Chris joined the embee & son team as our Flooring Specialist in April 2022.  After earning an Associate business degree and kickstarting his career at a nationally renowned charity, he transitioned into flooring sales in 2006. Chris made the career move as an expectant dad trying to improve his financial wellbeing, but what he gained was so much more than monetary. The industry has become his home and his passion!

Chris is a great listener who enjoys finding the perfect solution for a client’s design goals, lifestyle needs, and budget. He lays out the pros and cons of each option to deliver transparency and honesty.  Collaborating with his customers, what he enjoys building the most is lasting relationships.

A Hanover native, Chris takes pride in each and every job he’s a part of, but carpet and custom tile projects are his favorites. One of his more memorable projects was a custom compass medallion hardwood project just outside Abbottstown, or a nifty Shrewsbury project where the carpet matched just perfect for their year–round kept Christmas Tree. No matter how big or small the design, he’s in the business of producing smiles for the families and businesses he serves!

If you work with Chris, don’t be surprised if he’s a little cliché.  His favorite recitals come from Family Guy, famous comedians, or a character from The Office. In his spare time, Chris is an avid motorsports fan, attending his first race at age eight and never looking back.  You can also find him exploring the local countryside with his family and close friends or pretending to be a trick shot master at the Hanover or York bowling lanes.
